The large number is the single-tile rank. A lower rank number is stronger. Point value and tile rank are separate: Foo has 11 dots, but it ranks below Bon, which has only four.

The colours do not change the score
Red and white or black pips help identify the traditional designs. Add all the pips when counting points. A red pip is not worth more than a white or black pip.
Teen 6–6: each six is three red and three white pips.
Day 1–1: every single pip is red.
Chop Ng 1–4: ones and fours are always red.
Mooy 5–5: fives are all white, centre included.
The red pips help you find Day, Gor and the other ones-and-fours quickly. Star’s Casino’s approved rules say it outright: the colour of the dots has no significance for play.
The 16-pair order
Single-tile rank helps break equal point hands, but pairs have their own fixed order. Gee Joon ranks first, followed by the 11 matched pairs and four mixed pairs.
Several tile designs share a pip total, but only the two halves of a mixed pair, and the two Gee Joon tiles, share a rank. When two hands tie on points, this is the order that decides them. Gee Joon is left out because it counts as three or six.
Tiles grouped by pip total, strongest single-tile rank first.
